Vodafone’s Narrative

For this mixed-media campaign by Design Bridge and Partners, Vodafone and WWF looked at the environmental impact of unused technology and tried to make something quite abstract feel immediate and physical, through a series of cinematic scenes.

The idea plays out across three familiar domestic spaces  a living room drawer, a cupboard, and an attic, each treated like a hidden world where discarded devices and everyday objects quietly build up over time. Inside each space, an animal appears: an ostrich, a panda, and a giraffe. They’re not there as decoration, but as a way of reframing these cluttered environments as living, occupied spaces shaped by human consumption.

3D Previsualisation & On-Set Planning

(02)

A lot of the work went into pre-production, building out the environments in 3D first so we could plan lighting and composition properly before the shoot. That meant on set we could be very precise about how everything would line up later in post. The final integration focused on small but important details like contact with surfaces, shadows, and how the animals physically sit within the space.

Motion Extension

(03)

We also extended the campaign into motion and short animated sequences. These add small moments of life and movement, so the spaces don’t feel static the animals feel like they’re actually exploring, reacting, and existing in them.

Final Look

(04)

Across all three scenes, there’s a shared visual tone cinematic lighting, shallow focus, and a muted, atmospheric palette. Together, the work turns everyday clutter into something more strange and alive, suggesting that the impact of e-waste isn’t distant  it’s already sitting quietly inside the spaces we live in.
